Kapok Buds or Marathi Moggu is the dried fruit of the caper tree. It has a sharp flavour and is widely used in Karnataka and chettinad cuisine. This underrated spice is mostly used in traditional dishes like Bisi bele bath, Masala poori, and Chettinad masala.
